The Rotherham Schools PFI Project

The project is to rebuild, re-model and refurbish, 15 schools within the Borough of Rotherham comprising:

9 primary schools
6 secondary schools

The contract was signed on 13th June 2003 and will provide a comprehensive service, including maintenance and soft services for 30 years.

More awards for the Rotherham Project - the Rotherham schools PFI project has won yet more awards in the past 6 months.  These include:

PPF Award - In March 2006 The Rotherham PFI Project won "Best Overall Education Project" at the Public Private Finance awards, which adds to the award won last year.  Click here for more information and a photograph of the award.

Green Hero - Transform Schools (Rotherham) Ltd has been presented with an inscribed plaque to mark their achievement as one of Britain's first Green Heroes.  Click here to find out more.

4 more schools opened - since our last update, four more schools have now been completed and handed over - these are Wingfield Comprehensive, Winterhill School, Thrybergh Comprehensive School and Wath Central Primary School.  Click on the links under the school page for more information.

NEWS - 2005

Green Apple Award In November 2005 Transform Schools (Rotherham) and Building Learning Communities won Second Place: National runner-up for Education and Training at the annual Green Apple Envrionmental Awards 2005.  Click here for more information

PPF Award  In March 2005 Transform Schools (Rotherham) Ltd was invited to apply for an award from the Public Private Finance association in recognition of the extensive involvement of the community and users in the development of the Rotherham Schools PFI Project.  Click here to find out how they got on.

Health & Safety Awards In the past 6 months Transform Schools (Rotherham) Limited has been awarded 2 seperate awards for Health and Safety, click here to read more.
