Celebrations take place in new schools in North Lanarkshire

St Kevin’s and Bargeddie Primary Schools and Our Lady & St Joseph’s and Glenboig Primary Schools held their official opening celebrations earlier this year.

North Lanarkshire Provost, Tom Curley, officiated at both ceremonies with the unveiling of plaques and the cutting of celebration cakes. Whilst at St Kevin’s and Bargeddie he commented,

“These schools will provide the best possible start in life for the young people in Bargeddie and will continue to do so for generations to come. Not only will the pupils of St Kevin’s and Bargeddie Primary Schools benefit from the investment in this site, but the community has a wide range of new facilities, giving them greater access to lifelong learning, sporting and cultural opportunities.”

The community was again his focus at Our Lady & St Joseph’s and Glenboig, where he said

“I sincerely hope that this new building will be pivotal to community life in Glenboig, by providing a resource that can be used at all times for leisure and community activities.”
