Summary
Transform Schools (Bassetlaw), the concession company awarded the 27-year, £127 million contract to design and build a number of new facilities in the Nottinghamshire area, and to provide hard and soft facilities management services to the sites. The project reached financial close in July 2005.
Balfour Beatty’s shareholding is 50%. The 50% shareholder partner is Innisfree PFI Fund 3. The committed investment total is £8 million, which will be injected after completion of construction in 2007.
Project overview
- Construction of: One special school, Five new secondary schools, Two new centres for post-education, Two new leisure centres
- The hard and soft facilities management services have been sub-contracted to Balfour Beatty WorkPlace.
- Construction work was undertaken by Balfour Beatty Construction and Balfour Kilpatrick (now known as Balfour Beatty Engineering Services).
